Another Pair of Dream Nikes September 29, 2007

SBTG & Methamphibian present their ready to die operations: SKULLS OF SAIGON.

Two of the worlds biggest names in sneaker customization have decided to combine and draw inspiration and apply it to their sneakers in a much more tongue-in-cheek fashion.

You still have the dark elements of Methamphibian in there as well as SBTG’s trademark pattern work, but together it forms an energetic mix of colours and images.

But they don’t expect to stop there, planning on eventually expanding this as far as it can go. The first batch out the gate will be a set of Dunk High and Dunk Low.

The Dunk Highs are named “Psychoholic Slag” after the White Zombie song.

The lows are called “Pestilence.” The name is inspired by the Metallica song “The Four Horsemen.

They drop Tomorrow, Sept 30th and cost a whopping $650 (hence my calling them “dream” nikes)

UPDATE:  Check out Methamphibian (Store) for the Misfit Saigon Dunk Low… They still cost $600

You be the judge. I wasn’t spilling over with Belly until 6 months+, but she has to be at least 7 months. I’m just sayin’

I apologize for not posting anything over the past couple of days. But I will like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the people that have been coming to my site considering, I am all over the place with the things I write about and tend to be very vocal about the things I do write about. :)

You guys and gals have been coming to this site in creeping numbers. To be honest it’s always beyond my expectations, LOL

I am so happy to be typing away and giving you guys some more to read.

Can I ask 1 tiny thing… Give me some comments!!!! I would love to get some feedback. Do I ramble on too much? Do you want to read some more literary stuff, in between all the smaller weekly posts?

I will make a promise that in the coming weeks I’ll be delivering some interviews of folks who have Independent companies and have GREAT products to offer us

So… I called myself multi-tasking, being Super Mom & dropped my iBook with the power cord still attached to the computer. And you know what happened, right? The power cord broke in my MAC. :(

Soooo, I’m going to have to get this baby serviced over @ Tekserve and will be offline for hopefully no more than a week.

Sorry guys. If anything I’m more mad than ever. I use this baby to speak to everyone. Oh well, wish me luck, & hope that I don’t get charged an arm & a leg!!

This Weekend’s Recap May 8, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — flashyjazzy @ 5:30 pm

Sorry I’m a day off. I was busy packing up my home…
But, due to my relocating I missed one of the most anticipated fights. This was a BIG blow in my home, me and my hubby L-O-V-E boxing. boutx_thumb.jpgBut, I got 2 opinions on Sunday and they were totally different. My homegirl told me that all the Oyes (Spanish People) in her majority hispanic neighborhood were shouting the first 2 rounds and then it was—–SILENCE—— So based on that grand response she knew who was winning.
And then my hubby’s friend called and said he lost $300 (I would’ve bet on Mayweather). I had to laugh @ him. We were watching a few of the fights that Floyd had in his career and that dude has a mighty quick jab. Especially when he doubles up those body shots. (Yes, this is a female writing this, lol) But anywhooo, dude said that De La Hoya was throwing the most punches and that Mayweather had a battered face at the end. Is this true?
I know that you can throw the most punches, but it’s the Power Punches that really count.
So, with my opinion sprawled out, can someone set me straight? I wanna know (I think) before I see the repeat of the fight.

Are we all glad that the weather is finally steady and we can wear jackets or long-sleeves.
F.Y.I. People no shorts til June. I’m tired of seeing every year those mofos outside with summer outfits, all because the weather-man said that it’s going to be 70 degrees and sunny.
