Jena 6 *UPDATED* September 15, 2007

Filed under: news — flashyjazzy @ 9:02 pm

So, I went to YBF and read that the Lawyers for Mychal Bell have received word that the judge has OVERTURNED  his conviction!

If you weren’t aware, Mychal Bell was facing 22 years in Federal Prison.

Attorney Louis Scott, the Head Defense Lawyer for Mychal Bell, 16 yr, relayed the official word to YBF, that the case has been sent to Juvenile Court.

So that means there will be no sentencing on Sept 20th.  But there still will be a rally, because there are 5 other kids  who are awaiting trial.

And read about Jena 6 on these sites:

It still amazes me that there are folks out there that do not know about this Jim Crow shit.  But I happy that I was able to do my part in offering a glimpse of knowledge to those of you who have Googled Jena 6 or who stroll by this site to get a good read.

PLEASE PASS ALONG THE KNOWLEDGE!!!!  We are no good if we keep things like this to ourselves.  Even if you don’t know much.  The fact that you know something is enough to mention in any casual conversation.  The person who is listening to you can always get online and Google Jena 6 and learn about it.

I’m Just Saying September 13, 2007

Filed under: news — flashyjazzy @ 6:42 am

With all the tributes and memorials that occurred yesterday in remembrance of 9/11.   I found it quite ironic that a week before 9/11 the news media were speaking of a videotape from bin Laden that was set to be aired on 9/11.  I was suspect when I heard it, but when I saw the actually video it just confirmed my  hope ya’ll know where I’m going with this.  Here’s where I play 20 Questions (I won’t literally write 20 questions)

1.  Why would the news media have wind of such a video?

2.  If you know about a video, why has it been 6 yrs and ya’ll still can’t find him!?

3.  Who should believe that that was bin Laden?

4.  The US Gov’t must believe that the American people are really naive and unintelligent, because of such suspect measures?

5.  You should find it even more suspect that there was not even an actual person on the video.  It was a picture.

6.  Who are these voice analysis that always confirm it’s bin Laden’s voice??

7.  Now who still believes the Taliban blew up the Twin Towers?

If you challenge my questions give me FACTS!  I never believed it was them, and after 6 years I am still not convinced that this tirad American has been on is correct.  And history has proven to me that American is a firm believer in the ‘By Any Means Necessary’ motto

Bill Maher Talks w/ Mos Def & Cornel West September 8, 2007

Filed under: news, the telle — flashyjazzy @ 9:20 am

bookcover.jpg180px-realtimebillmaher.jpgmos.jpg
Philosopher Cornel West & Rapper/ Actor Mos Def were both on HBO show Real Talk with Bill Maher last nite (Friday Sept 7, 2007).
Speaking on various topics starting with:

• The war in Iraq; which led into American History, Louisiana and why it was really sold,

• The whole videotape conspiracy i.e Osama Bin Laden - I’m going to say something about that

• The 9/11 Theory - Did Osama knock down the Towers? Mos Def doesn’t believe he did nor does he believe that we landed on the moon. Cornel West believes Bin Laden had something to do with it

Secular Religion, Terrorism - why are they upset with colonial presence or imperial presence, Muslim origin and how they supposibly conquered believers; Islam is not a threat nor the problem,

• The warped voting system, the Electoral College

• Cornel explains what the naked truth really is

• Jena 6 (sign the petition!!!). How it is not a nationally publicized topic My mother said cut the FUCKIN TREE DOWN!!! (Here! Here!) Mos voiced his anger about the issue, and how the country is locating members of the Black Panther Party 30 yrs later and trying to send them to trial for their roles in the Black Panthers

• Barack Obama - How he is the ideal candidate to take office b/c of the current state of the country and partially b/c of his friendly look. How Barack has an essence of revival for the country and his genuine drive to be a good president vs the Dynasty effect (”the presidency goes from The Bushes to The Clintons” - Mos Def),

• The Presidential Campaign; How the Black people are split between Hiliary and Obama

Hopefully they come home, like they did for OJ - Bill Maher

Bill Maher takes a jab at OJ, LOL & Mos doesn’t believe OJ did it, but he does believe in Big Foot LOL

Mos Def is skeptic about Obama, though.  As far as not hearing Obama speak about Katrina, or possibly exonerating Mumia Abu Jamal

Great topics. More than I expected to get a ray of light.

Two powerful people in the African American Community; a profound philosopher and activist, and a modern day activist, rapper and actor. And Bill Maher, a comedian, outspoken satirical views on politics and current events, who was engaged to SupaHead ( let’s you know a lil more than we see on the telle, eh?), and whose show was cancelled off of ABC because of his statement on the level of bravery the plane hi-jackers had on 9/11.

Try to catch a recap on Youtube or HBO. Real Talk airs Friday nites @ 11p

Modern Day School House Rocks - Gets Properly Addressed September 5, 2007

Filed under: news, self preservation, the telle — flashyjazzy @ 9:00 am

So, there are more people who felt appalled by BET’s “Read A Book” satire cartoon.

CNN interviewed the creators of the insulting cartoon. And also asked parents how they felt about their children being exposed to this ‘cartoon’.

What I want everyone to keep in mind is the time that this cartoon is being aired and also what kind of message is being sent and also the delivery of that message. Notice how the parents and everyone else properly address this cartoon as a satire. Allowing better clarification of what kind of message is being projected.

If you watch the Youtube Vids below, notice how the PARENTS mentions Teen Summit as a positive show for Teens that used to come on BET - when it was still owned by Black people. And they mention that the cartoon is more suitable for an Adult Swim audience.

And is it me or will you like the fact that the anchorman emphasizes Viacom as the owner and leader of the actions that is BET.

FYI - this cartoon was intended for the 18 - 34 yr old demographic, however when I first saw it, it was 1:30 pm on a weekday, during summer vacation. Most adults in the suggested demographic are at work and only young children are home at that hour. Things that make you go HMMMMMMM… Ok, nuff talk if you have some time watch the vids and get your take on things, from EVERYONE’S perspective.

And continuation of what the creators have to say

Overall, like I said before, it is not as much as the cartoon that makes me angry, but the package in a whole; the delivery, the product, and the message. We know there is a lot wrong with Hip Hop, with the way we spend our money, treat our people, etc. However, when you have a company that is now owned by White people, you have to be leery as to how “your” message is received by the viewer. I agree with them airing it at a more appropriate time, because the adults that I spoke with find it very funny, but as a parent, older sister, and concerned adult, I have a problem with who is actually being marketed.

Shit, put an Advisory warning before you air the Bitch!!

NYC Hospitals Say ‘NO’ To Baby Formula August 11, 2007

Filed under: news — flashyjazzy @ 1:30 pm

As of Aug 1st, 2007 the 11 NYC Hospitals run by the City’s Health and Hospital Corporations(see full list below) will be banning the free formula samples that new mothers receive in the hospital. In return, all new mothers will be encouraged to breast-feed (nurse) their newborns.

No longer will you get the free baby tote bag with free baby formula ( similac, enfamil), and promotional offers for it.

Instead, you will get is disposable nursing pads, a cooler to store your breast milk bottles, and a baby tee that reads “I eat at Mom’s”.

This new rule takes effect during World Breast Feeding Week.

At the Bronx located hospital, Jacobi, who’s been promoting new mothers to breast-feed since 2005, says that 25% of 2,200 newborn babies are being breast-fed each year. There are about 21,000 babies born each year in the 11 hospitals.

The City Health Officals want to promote the benefits of breast-feeding to all women.

However, those women who request formula will still receive it.

Health experts say that breast milk reduces the risk of common childhood infections, asthma, diabetes and obesity. Breast-feeding also lowers the risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, anemia and osteoporosis in mothers.

Studies have further shown that breast-feeding burns up to 500 calories a day, which helps women recover from pregnancy faster and counters symptoms of postpartum depression.

Health professionals say it is especially important to introduce the baby to mother’s milk within an hour of birth to teach both the mother and newborn.

The infant-formula industry said it supports encouraging more breast-feeding, but is opposed to banning distribution of product samples.

Below are the hospitals that are under the Health and Hospitals Corporations:
The Bronx
North Central Bronx Hospital
Jacobi Medical Center

Manhattan
Harlem Hospital Center
Bellevue Hospital Center
(both of which have excellent Birthing Centers)
Metropolitan Hospital Center

Queens
Queens Hospital Center
Elmhurst Hospital Center

Brooklyn
Woodhull Medical and Mental Heatlh Center
Kings County Hospital Center
Coney Island Hospital

To learn more about Breast-feeding please click here

I am a supporter of breast-feeding. The fact that you are giving your child a healthier way of growing, is something I think all new mothers should consider to try, at least once. When you breast-feed you give your newborn your antibodies, which helps build a stronger immune system.

The only thing that I was disappointed with when I gave birth to my daughter was that the 1st 6-24 hours that you spend in the Recovery Room I was not asked if I was planning on breast-feeding. And as a result, they automatically put all the babies on formula, which lowers the mother’s chance of having her newborn successfully latch on (take) to her breast milk.

There are those mothers who think about things like “Oh, if I breast-feed then I will not be able to smoke or drink?”. Well… Yes you will not be able to smoke. But, you will be able to drink in moderation, so I have read. If you click here you will read what health experts have to say about mothers who have the occassional drink.

So Do You Think ABC Is Racist Now? July 27, 2007

Filed under: news — flashyjazzy @ 7:17 am

I felt like they are.
I read this via TVGuide.com (Click here for the full story)

ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson says his counterpart at NBC, Ben Silverman, was either “clueless or stupid” in his remarks about hiring Isaiah Washington for a role on Bionic Woman.

Silverman, in one of his first acts as the new cochairman of NBC’s entertainment division, swooped up Washington for a six-episode stint on his network’s new series after ABC decided not to keep the actor on Grey’s Anatomy. ABC’s decision was largely based on Washington’s on-set use of a homophobic slur towards cast member T.R. Knight last October, which he repeated in front of the press at the Golden Globe Awards.

Silverman told reporters that he had begun talking with Washington “before he became available” and said he was shocked when ABC decided to let him go. “When he told me he was available I was like, ‘You are? Wait, I don’t understand. What do you mean? You’re a huge star on a star television show.’” he said. “I don’t quite understand what had gone on there.”

McPherson told reporters that “if (Silverman) was in fact talking to him before he was available, that’s inducement to breach. So I don’t know, he’s either clueless or stupid.”

As to Silverman saying he didn’t understand the circumstances surrounding the firing of Washington, McPherson said: “Was he living in a cave?”

When you read this & you take into account that they are also ending the successful George Lopez show after 5 seasons, and they also got rid of all of the african american actors on LOST. You have to wonder…

What amazed me was the fact that the President of ABC didn’t try to subliminally address the hiring of Isaiah Washington. He was very blatant with his feelings toward Isaiah as a person. To say that he should not have been hired, is basically like spitting in his face. As the president of a company, you are supposed to carry yourself, professionally, and to voice your own personal opinion about an ex-employee is not professional at all.

With a comment like what he said, makes him to be a bit hypocritical. You fire someone for commenting about what he said to another cast member (Patrick Dempsey) referring to the treatment of another cast member (TR Knight). But yet you are doing the same thing by saying that Silverman was ‘Clueless or Stupid’ for hiring Isaiah. So are you calling Isaiah Washington stupid/ clueless?

I dunno how I feel about this, but I know I don’t think it’s right. He made a mistake, should he have to pay with his life? TR Knight isn’t even a good actor.

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!!!

R.I.P VIBE Vixen July 27, 2007

Filed under: fashionistas unite!, news — flashyjazzy @ 6:31 am

Again, I’m late in posting this, but… Here you go
kelisholiday06cvr.jpg

It was announced on Tuesday, that the Vibe Vixen magazine will no longer be gracing the news stands with their covers.

The new CEO of Vibe Media Group, Steve Aaron, announced that they will be publishing the Aug/Sept issue and then the magazine will fold.

However, the CEO went on to say that Vibe Vixen will be featured as special issues about urban culture, sometime at the end of this year/ beginning next year. They are not sure how often the issues will be released.

On a brighter note, the magazine will keep their website, so you can still check them out.

keyshia0806cvr.jpgkellyvixencvr.jpgtraceyvixen0906.jpgfantasiavixencvr0207.jpg
janetjacksonvixencvr0407.jpgmyavixencvr0707.jpgrihanna-vibe-vixen.jpgrihanna-vibe-vixen-2.jpg

As many of us women may feel that there is yet again, no outlet for us to feel ‘at home’. I would say that when there is another Vibe Vixen, Suede (I shed a tear when I think about that magazine), or Honey let’s open our mouths wide and speak very loudly and atell our homegirls to go out and pick up at least one issue.

If we can do this as a whole, we’ll see the female urban magazine last a lot longer than 1 yr (Suede) or 2 1/2 yrs (Vibe Vixen).

We can at least say that they were nice enough to bring Honey magazine back to the stands.

I personally, think that they put their hat where they can’t reach. The magazine/periodical game is tricky. The way you sell is weird, it’s like wholesale + consignment. There are 2 ways (that I can remember) to sell your magazine/newspaper. You either sell it to the retailer in bulk with a percentage off, sometimes as much as 60%. Or you sell it in bulk at full price, but what doesn’t sell by a certain time you have to refund the money for.

So if you have a high expense budget, you can loss money. I know for a fact that Suede had an etirely too high of a budget for their magazine. With all the rich colors and exclusive coutour fashion, you could tell that money was not an object for their magazine, and in turn they folded, before they could get the recognition that they truly deserved (let’s not forget the interview with Barack Obama).

I do not know if that is the case for Vibe Vixen, but with a newly hired CEO to the Company, and expected layoffs, maybe some people got raises and somethings just had to get… Cut

Overall, I hope that the next time we see a well crafted magazine out there catered to us, women, we support it.

A great & inexpensive gift is a magazine subscription. If you can’t use it, someone else will love it.

A Pants Worth June 13, 2007

Filed under: news — flashyjazzy @ 7:57 am

Would you pay $54 Million for a pair of dress pants????

Roy Pearson, a judge in Washington, DC thinks someone should.

He has filed a civil suit claim seeking $54 million in damages. Apparently, his local Dry Cleaners misplaced his pants and he had to wait several days for them to find them.

Mr. Pearson took his pants to the Custom Cleaners, owned Korean immigrants Jin and Soo Chung. Mr. Pearson said that he was caught by their claim of ‘Satisfaction Guaranteed’.

Now, it is funny because, Mr. Pearson claims in his court papers that he had brought a pair of pants to Custom cleaners in 2002, and they were lost. Custom Cleaners gave a check for $150 to resolve the issue. Like an idiot, three years later he brought another pair of pants to Custom Cleaners, and guess what… They lost them.

He demanded $1200 for a new suit. Custom Cleaners first offered $3000, then $4600, finally $12,000 to settle. He declined the final offer and upped the price. Now Mr. Pearson is a lawyer and with that he obviously used his skills to his advantage.

Mr. Pearson believes he is entitled to $1,500 for each consumer protection law violation, each day during which the “Satisfaction Guaranteed” sign and another sign promising “Same Day Service” was up in the store — more than 1,200 days.

And he’s multiplying each violation by three because he’s suing Jin and Soo Chung and their son. He also wants $500,000 in emotional damages and $542,500 in legal fees, even though he is representing himself in court. He wants $15,000 for 10 years’ worth of weekend car rentals. He said he needs the car to get his dry cleaning to a store outside his neighborhood. He is also seeking other fees.

So let’s do the math:
$1,500 per protection law violation x 1,200 days = $1,800,000.00
$1,800,000.00 x 2 ( total number of protection law violations) = $3,600,000.00
$3,600,000.00 x 3 ( number of defendants being suied) = $10,800,000.00
$500,000 emotional damages + $542,500 = $1,042,500.00
$15,000 x 10 = $150,000
$10,800,000 + $1,042,500.00 + $150,000 = $11,992,500.00

Then he his seeking money for other fees. That is about $43 Million in other fees. Damn!

This is an ridiculous case. The pants cost about $800. The Chungs claim to have found the pants a week after Mr. Pearson came to pick them up. The pants have the ticket matching his receipt. But Mr. Pearson says that the pants are not his pants.

It will cost the taxpayers in D.C. $2,500 a day to process this case. They have been in legal battle for over two years. The judge who finally did hear the case threw it out and it is now in the hands of another judge and so the Chungs will have to continue to pay legal fees for this frivilous case.

Mr. Pearson went as far as breaking down and crying on the stand when re-encountering the ordeal he went through with Custom Cleaners.

Here’s why I’m mad—

1. He is a man, or rather a consumer who is abusing his rights
2. He is a black man and could be using his legal skills for something far more productive
3. He wants $54 FUCKING MILLION!!!!!!!
4. We ALL know he’s not getting it. If The Chung’s had $54 Million would they even have a Dry Cleaning business anymore??
5. This Jerk-off originally was seeking $64 Million, but dropped to a lesser amount
6. It’s messed up that America allows cases like this fruition. But innocent people get convicted without a fair trial
7. Mr. Pearson… You need some good, toe-curling, see fireworks Pun-tangy!!! Release some stress, MAN!!!!!!!!

A Jim Jones Reincarnate? June 13, 2007

Filed under: news — flashyjazzy @ 6:55 am

And I’m not talking about the rapper, Jim Jones, but the real Jim Jones, founder of The People’s Temple, he was the guy who forced hundreds (914 in total: 638 adults, 276 children) to drink red kool-aid, which had cyanide in it. There were said to be other drugs/ poisons given, which aided in the killing of his followers that went to Jonestown, which was in a part of the jungle in Guyana.

Jim Jones deceived hundreds of people in the 1970’s. The People’s Temple was made to be an inter-racial group of homeless, jobless, and the ill people. Because the Vietnam War was well in action, most of the worshippers were looking for somewhere to call home and Jim Jones provided just that for them. The People’s Temple moved from Indiana and relocated to California. Once in California, they would travel to different parts of Cali and Jim Jones would preach to lure in new worshippers.

Now what made Jim Jones so unique in the 70’s was that he had a way of preaching his ’social’ gospel, like if he were black. He wore a rope and sunglasses (to hide his drugged up eyes) at the pulpit. It is said that while living in Indiana he found a black church and became interested in how the preacher preached the word to the congregation. From there Jim Jones picked up that style of preaching and used it to being his own congregation.

Overall, The People’s Temple were a group of people that were looking for a place or even a person to look to. All the while they wanted reassurance and looked to hear that all would be alright in the long run. I guess when you have young adults going out to fight a senseless war and die, people start to feel a sense of hopelessness (that sounds a bit familiar doesn’t it). Jim Jones provided that safehaven and illusion. Kids fresh out of high school, young families, the elderly, and the sick all fell for the promises that Jim Jones preached.

“He preached a ’social gospel’ of human freedom, equality, and love, which required helping the least and the lowliest of society’s members. Later on, however, this gospel became explicitly socialistic, or communistic in Jones’ own view, and the hypocrisy of white Christianity was ridiculed while ‘apstolic socialism’ was preached.”

Basically, socialistic or socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. (Yes, that was the actual definition.)

The People’s Temple were taught to give all of their pay to the church for tithe. And they were also required to work for the church to keep it functioning which resulted in many only getting 2-3 hours of sleep a day. The basic necessities were provided for the followers, food, clothes, bills were paid, and they received helthcare. Not bad right? Whatever. The elderly were conned into selling their homes and giving the profit to The People’s Temple, in exchange for living in a nursing home on the church’s property.

Jim Jones had preached that he could heal the sick. He printed a booklet where he said that the bible contained contradictions, absurdities, and atrocities. But he also said that the bible had great truths. Jones claimed to have been the reincarnation of Jesus, Lenin, and other leaders.

With that brief History lesson, I will introduce who I feel is a similar person who’s claiming to be Jesus AND the Antichrist. Yes, both. And YES, crack does fry your brain :)

His name is Jose de Jesus. He is a 61 year old, native Puerto Rican, who now resides outside of Houston, TX. He is claiming to be Jesus and his gospel is as twisted as any other cracked-out cult leader. Jose preaches to his congregation, Growing In Grace, that he is the Second Coming of Jesus, and also claims the title of Antichrist, which to him is the next incarnation of Jesus on earth, not an evil being. (Oh, boy!!) Claiming to be the Second Coming of Jesus and the title of Antichrist, he says you can not do no harm in the presence of Jesus (him). His theory is if Jesus died on the cross for our sins, then they no longer exist and therefore there is no such thing as committing a sin when in his (Jose’s) presence. So that means that drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and divorce to name a few, which in Christian or other religions would be looked at as a sin, under Jose de Jesus is looked at as normal behavior. He himself has been married twice, drinks Dewar’s scotch, and smokes cigarettes. The women of his following even dress provocatively. But if you commit a crime, say like robbery or murder, he says that when you are imprisoned in jail, you are serving your punishment and it is on Earth that you are to do such a thing. There is no Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. So there is no after life to preserve your soul for.

His following is of mostly Hispanic immigrants. But his goal is to be able to preach his gospel in English and catch the ears of English speaking Americans. Having a seal resembling the presidential seal, he sometimes refers to himself as the president of God’s government on Earth. Most of his followers believe that because they can see Jose de Jesus and in all other religions you base your beliefs on faith and the Holy Spirit, Growing In Grace is the right place to be. Their Jesus Christ is in the flesh and they are able to visibly see his ‘miracles’. One follower was told one day, a few years ago by his father, that Jesus Christ came to him in a dream and in that dream Jesus Christ was wearing a suit. So when the follower first saw Jose de Jesus, he believed he was the man that his father saw in his dream.

Jose de Jesus and other members of his congregation have gone as far as getting tattoed with the ‘Mark of The Beast” (666). This is a way to show their devotion to Growing In Grace. What kind of Fuckery is that?!?!?!?!

I say that he sounds like a Jim Jones reincarnate because his congregation like The People’s Temple are devout worshippers and they do not worship a spiritual being, but a human being, someone who is mortal, who can bleed when badly injured, and who claims to be the flesh form of Jesus Christ. He claims that his mission is to save people from the misery of their life on Earth. If they tithe 10% of their income and make additional offerings, he promises that prosperity will then follow. He can achieve this result, he says, because he is God.

The People’s Temple as I stated in the beginning of this piece were required to give their whole income and in return received a $3-$5 allowance. The Growing In Grace, one couple went as far as donating $1 Million Dollars, and one man gives 10% of his unemployment check.

I mention these two gentlemen to point out that there will be many more who claim to be the resurrected form of Jesus Christ and there will be those who profess to be able to perform acts of healing and have special powers. If you are some what familiar with the Bible than you would know that majority of the world events that we see on the news have heavy connections with the Book Of Relevelations.

In the Bible in the Book of Matthew, verse 24:5 it reads ” For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many”.
Matthew 24:23-27 it also reads ” At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.
“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”

In the Book of Mark verse 13:5 it reads ” Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains”.
Mark 13:12 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved”.
And Mark 13:21-23 reads ” At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time”.

In the Book of II Corinthians 11:13-15 it reads ” For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve”.

In these times we all have to be careful who and what we choose to believe for various reasons. Who are we to question the works of the Creator. If we as human beings are soooo fucking smart, then there should have been far more advanced inventions besides the telephone, fire, and the wheel. People kill me when they say they need concrete facts to believe. If we created this world then we would be a smarter race, hence making sure Bush wasn’t elected for a second term. Or believing that Osama Bin Laden really blew up the World Trade Centers.

I’ve only been alive for 25 yrs and within those 25 yrs I have developed a realistic outlook on life. I am not an over dreamer. I see things as what they are- raw and true. If the truth hurts - keep a kleenex tissue in your pursue, ya heard!!

I say that to say, I’ve noticed that we as people are like sheep. We flock where it looks good. If you look at endless counts of historical instances you can see that it would take one angry person to get a crowd riled up. That is the sheep affect. It’s a tactic that has an affective response. Next time you are in a crowd and you do not agree witht he ring leader, wee how the other people in the group react, you might be surprised. Then see how long it takes you to fold and give in.

This piece was written with a sense of urgency. For my Latino family and also for those out there who are seeking some form of spiritual guidance. There will be many who will follow in this man’s footsteps and claim to be a Jesus Christ, God, or great healer. Please do not believe them and look into your heart for some form of spiritual guidance. Shit, do research and look into the many ancient religions and find the one that best fits your spirit and soul. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and I know who I believe in. But I am not here to sway you with my beliefs, I am here to help you find a clear path for the faith that you feel is best for you. But note that the scriptures that I listed are a few of many all coming from a book that was created at hundreds of years ago.
