As the weather gets warmer and summer starts to creep its way into our lives. We all have to get ready for all the musical performances that will hit our city!

Every year Central Park has the fabulous Summerstage. They have not announced who will be performing this summer- expected to be announced on May 22nd. They have a special event with Joss Stone and Common, tickets go on sale May 31st. If you have not gone to a
Summerstage event, I advise you to go. Most of the concerts are free and they are worth the time. The lines can be hellah long, but with all things free you have to sacrifice something.

Besides, Summerstage, there are the free concerts in Prospect Park, also known as Celebrate Brooklyn! Though their events are mostly free they do ask for donations.

They will also have a Screening of Wild Style at the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park in Dumbo.
You have to sign up to receive a ticket to these events and space is very limited. If you want to check out a Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival event you have to go to Brooklyn Bodega
